Australis – Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick
It’s not often that I recommend you run out and get a product, because I recognise that products work differently on different people, but, today, I’m going to recommend you run out and buy Australis’ Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick.
These are described as:
Knockout colour with benefits. It’s like a treatment, your lips will be healthier wearing colour inject lipstick than not wearing it.
And it’s true. Seriously, people, read down for the nitty gritty of these lipsticks but I have never, ever, ever found lipsticks so pigmented AND so moisturising, all at the same time. Usually I get one or the other. These have both.
And they’re cheap (by Australian standards).
Have you got your car keys / airplane ticket ready yet? Just wait a couple more minutes, scroll down, read and then….. 3…. 2…. 1….. GO!
Packaging
The packaging on these are pretty basic lipstick packaging. I do like the bright pink strip in the middle. It makes them recognisable in my kit and it reminds me of the 1980s.
I was sent five colours in a clear plastic case. So cool. I feel like James Bond with magical ampules of colour.
Product
Ok, here’s the deal. As I mentioned, this are exquisitely easy to apply, extraordinarily moisturising, long lasting and the colours pack a punch. In one lipstick, Australis have managed to tick every box in a lipstick lover’s checklist.
Put simply, Aussie ladies, you won’t find a lipstick out for less than $15, that works like these. Heck, I’d rate these as good as YSL and Chanel – and you know how I love those. These are breakthrough awesome.
Don’t believe me? Check out the swatches below.
Ballet – a pink I didn’t think I’d like but this works. It’s a beautiful soft pink.
Macarena – This is a brown frost that looks like a NARS I have but can’t find and can’t remember the name of. Perfect for a night out.
Twist – let me tell you a little story about Twist. A few years ago, I had a lipstick by Bloom that I adored. I had backups of this stuff. Then, one day, I ran out and they had discontinued the colour. Twist is that colour. So so so beautiful for everyday wear.
Jitterbug – is a classic, beautiful, blue red. I don’t need to sell this. It sells itself, right?
Charleston – My favourite. This looks dark in the tube but comes out as a lovely reddish-dark pink. I’m currently wearing this daily and loving it.
Price
These will set you back $12.95 each. Worth every penny.
Would I repurchase?
Already have. I have re-purchased all five and an additional two Twists. If Australis ever discontinue these, I will picket their head office. No, I’m not joking.
