Skin Regime – Eye Cream Face Off – The Final Analysis

It’s been close to two months since I started my eye cream experiment. Initially, I decided to pit Placenta Cream bought from a Korean Grocer (don’t laugh, it seemed like a good idea at the time) against the might of Nivea’s Triple Action Soy+ Eye & Lip Care .

Within days of using the placenta cream, my eyes were burning like mad. So it was ditched and the race became a race of one.

This comes in a basic tube. Nothing amazing, but totally functional.

Product

My apologies for the difference in lighting (and the slight blurirness of the photo on the right) with these photos.  One was taken with my point and shoot, and the other with the SLR.  I can’t believe how green my old camera made my skin look!

I think the proof is in the pudding with this cream.  It looks like I’ve had a surgical eye lift but, I can promise you all, I’ve had nothing of the sort.  I’ve achieved this result by slathering the cream on day and night.  That’s it.  That’s truly truly it.

This has does pretty much nothing for my genetic under eye lines, but it has lifted my lids and reduced my crows lines dramatically.

My only criticism of this is that it isn’t moisturising enough.  For me anyway.  I find I do have to apply a more emollient moisturiser over the top to avoid flaking and crepey eyes.

Price

I believe this retails for $19.95 which, given what it does, is the most amazing price ever.

Would I repurchase?

This is the only eye cream I have experienced visible results with.  I still have to contend with those lines and bags under my eyes but, for now, I’m thrilled with how my eyes look.  It’s amazing.
