Product Review – MAC Tartan Tale – Courting Lilac

Another product I picked up from the Tartan Tale Collection was Courting Lilac.

I’ve been kinda wearing this all week so it’s pretty clear that I heart it. Read on to find out why!

Packaging

This comes in a typical black MAC tube.  And here’s my criticism.  Surely MAC could have set the lipsticks apart by branding them in a Burberry-esque hatch?  So they stand out?  I think the packaging is a wee bit pedestrian.

Product

I can’t fault this lipstick.  It’s a plum with a gold shimmer and it looks glorious on.

The shimmer takes what could be a fairly standard lipstick, and injects a va-va-va-voom.

And, because this is a glaze, it’s very moisturising and doesn’t suck the juice out of my lips like other lipsticks tend to do.

Price

I paid $35.  And it’s worth every penny.

Would I repurchase?

Absolutely, positively yes.  I had doubts when I bought this as to whether it would suit.  I’m glad I took a punt because this could be one of my favourites.  Ever.
