Product Review – Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss Stick

Product Review – Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss Stick

Estee Lauders Pure Color Gloss Stick in Night Bloom came to me as part of a gift bag for the Melbourne Beauty Blogger Event. It’s not a colour I would have picked off the shelf but it was free and it is cute so I figured, ‘What the hey’.

Read on to see my thoughts.

Packaging

Mmm, Estee Lauder are trying to foolio us here. See that banner picture above. It looks like you should pull the lid off to reveal a doe-foot applicator, right?

Wrong. The lid pulls off to reveal a lipstick that you wind upwards to apply. Nifty huh?

Product

Despite Night Bloom not being a colour I would normally choose, I LOVE this. It’s not just the pink, which I think is universally flattering. It’s the moisturising you get with this. Its just luscious and feels so nice on. And it doesn’t dry out, even in the hideous air-conditioning of my office.

Longevity wise, it lasts ok. I can apply at 8am and still have a faint trace of colour at 2pm.

Oh, please excuse the furry lip. As you may know, I’m about to get laser hair removal and I’m not allowed to remove any hairs. :-(

Price

In Australia, this will set you back $42.

Would I repurchase?

You know, I would.  The colour payoff is superb and the moisturising… well, it’s like wearing a balm, and that’s a big plus for me.
