Product Review – Evil Shades Liquid Sin Glosses

As you all know, Andrea from Evil Shades is a great friend of mine and one of the most beautiful people on this earth. Period. When I recently asked if we could do a swap, she slipped into the package a couple of her Liquid Sin glosses. I want to simultaneously kiss AND beat her for being so darn cheeky and generous.

As soon as I got the package, I whipped them out for a trial run.  See what I think after the jump. I should mention that, whilst Andrea is a friend, this is an honest review. Andrea would totally kick my a** if it was anything but.

Packaging

These come in a tube with a soft doe-foot applicator.  Ahhhh, such simple and effective packaging soothes my soul.

Product

Bare Lips

Karta

Karta is a lovely pink with a real kick to it.  It might be hard to see but focus on the middle of my lower lip and you’ll see that bring pink sparkle coming through.  Glorious.

Morna

Morna is a clear standout.  When I first saw this, my reaction was ‘light blue gloss?  Andrea knows my workplace is one religious book removed from a church.  How would blue ever work?’ Well, you know, it does in a strange way.  The blue works with my natural lip colour to give a cool lavendar appearance.  Absolutely love this.

These are super sheer glosses.  So, whilst they look highly pigmented in the tube, they come out like a wash over the lips.  I don’t wear alot of really strong colours, so the idea of a wash suits me but, if you’re an opaque gal, these might not be for you.

Personally, I like their versatility.  Wear them solo for a lovely wash.  Layer it over a lipstick for a subtle colour shift and shine.

Would I repurchase?

Hells yeah.  For $5, you could afford to get all four for less than the cost of a CD.  And these are far more useful.
