Product Review – Illamasqua Intense Lip Gloss

As I mentioned over at You’ve Got Nail and in Give Good Face yesterday, I am a little busy at the moment with a personal issue. So, posting will continue as normal, but I will be behind on comments for another week. I do read, and appreciate, every comment and I thank you for your patience.
So, today it’s all about Illamasqua Intense Lip Gloss. I have three of these (and two spare send to me by Illamasqua which I will give away next month) and thought it was high time they got a review.
Peep it.
Packaging
This come in a plastic tube with a plastic doe-foot applicator.
There are couple of issues with the packaging. The sticker on the tube that has the name of the colour is prone to rubbing off easily. Which means that, after a while, I have no idea which gloss I’m dealing with.

Secondly, whilst I’m a big fan of doe-foot applicators, I don’t think the hard plastic one works as well. Sure, it’s more hygenic, and that infinitely appeals, but it just doesn’t have the ‘give’ that the softer plastic ones have. I don’t think I made any sense there.
Product
These are the perfect hybrid between lipstick and lipstick. They have all the pigmentation of lipstick, but with none of the dryness. And they leave me with a shine that, I swear, I can see my face in.
Longevity wise, they are also a hybrid. They don’t last as long as lipstick but have more staying power than your average gloss. And they’re not at all sticky like MAC’s Dazzleglass.
If you’re still not convinced, check out my swatches below.
Price
Purchased direct from Illamasqua’s online store, this will set you back around $21AUD.
Would I repurchase?
I have three already so I think it’s a safe bet that I will be buying these over and over and over again!
