Haircare Regime – Nioxin

Haircare Regime – Nioxin

A bit of a random post today, all about my haircare regime.

I had an operation mid 2009 and, about three months after the operation, my hair started to fall out. And fall out. And fall out. I reckon I lost about one third of my hair which, when your hair is as short as mine, is very noticeable.

In addition to taking vitamins, I decided to try the Nioxin range of shampoos, conditioners and serums. The serums I didn’t like but the shampoos and conditioners had an instant effect. As in, a week after starting using them, my hair stopped falling out.

It’s been a year since the fallout began and my hair is thicker than before the operation. Nioxin isn’t designed to encourage growth but I do believe that, in conjunction with my vitamins, it creates the right environment for hair to grow.

I totally recommend Nioxin. It’s not sexy. And it’s embarrassing having to ask for it at their chemist. But it works.

Hey lovely, I did a post here on Vitamins. http://www.youvegotface.com/2010/07/10/my-skincare-regime-lets-talk-vitamins/ The only thing that has changed since then is that I've ditched the Biotin and am taking Silica, which is working a treat!
