Product Review – That Gal

Product Review – That Gal

I’m a sceptic when it comes to primers.  I peer at them like a cynical scientist, almost daring them to fail.

Benefit’s That Gal was no different. Would it really brighten and smooth my face as it promises. Jump it to find out!

Packaging

This comes in a tube that looks like a glue stick. To get access to the primer, you just wind the bottom of the tube and out comes the product through a plastic mesh covering at the top. I don’t know if this makes the primer work any better but, goddamn, I love it.  It’s just so freaking cute!

Product

This primer has the texture of a lightly whipped mousse / lotion.  It glides on effortlessly and just seems to meld into the skin.

As you can see, it gives my skin a lovely glow.  On my face, it seems to just brighten my complexion, distracting me away from all those terrible flaws of mine.

Although this is marketed as a primer that can be used under foundation, I find I tend to use it alone.  It gives my skin a lift without adding needless coverage.  And it doesn’t exacerbate my oily cheeks and t-zone – a miracle in itself.

It’s also perfect for along the cheekbones to give that area a sheen and glow.  I feel like a Hollywood celebrity wearing it.

Price

In the US, this will set you back $28.  As this was provided to me by Benefit, I’m not sure what the price is in Australia.  If anyone knows, post it in the comments for me!

Would I repurchase?

I think so.  I’m sure there are other products that do the same thing as this.  But the fact that it’s so easy to use, and doesn’t muck my skin around is a BIG PLUS.
