Product – Chanel Rouge Allure Darling Lipstick

Product – Chanel Rouge Allure Darling Lipstick

I should just say from the outset that: a) this is Chanel; and b) as a direct result of it being Chanel, I will be raving madly about this.

I love all things Chanel. For me, Chanel has always been the yardstick or comparison point. They don’t follow trends. They set them. And I’ve never ever been disappointed by a Chanel product.

Read on to find out why, featuring Chanel Rouge Allure Darling….

Packaging

Now this is where Chanel is in a league of its own. The only company to come even close to Chanel packaging is Yves Saint Laurent.

Darling comes in a black bullet with a gold bottom. To get the tube out, you push the gold bottom in and the lipstick tube comes out, as shown above.

It’s gloriously elegant and it’s classic Chanel at its best.

Product

This is the perfect lipstick shade if you want a natural lip look. It’s perfect for pretty much any occasion and will go with pretty much any outfit.

I smear this one straight from the tube but you can use a lip brush if you want a more defined look.

This lasts reasonably well. I usually touch up after lunch and it keeps me going until the end of the day.

Price

My mum bought this for me.  I believe it retails for around $30USD.  Expensive, but it is Chanel after all.

Would I repurchase?

I already have.  This is the perfect pinky nude.  I love it.
