Product Review – Kryolan Paint Stick
I’m going to state upfront that I love Kryolan products. I believe they are a totally underrated brand and deserve far more love than what they get.

So you can safely assume that the following review is pretty much one long rave about one of my favourite Kryolan products, the TV Paint Stick.
Jump it to read my sad fan girl ravings….
Packaging

This comes in a fat little tube with a screw top lid. Like a lip balm, you wind the product up and off you go.
I quite like the packaging. It’s slick, fits well into my handbag and is totally functional.
Product
This is a heavy duty product, which you’d expect for something that is used in television and on stage. It’s perfect for events like weddings, formal functions, or events where you won’t get much of an opportunity to touch up and/or you want your makeup to stay put.
The cream formula is remarkably easy to work with. I use either a foundation brush or latex sponge to apply. I build up layers slowly, to avoid caking, and then set with a translucent powder that I press onto the skin.
And it looks amazing. This is full coverage but it never looks like a mask. I don’t know how Kryolan do it but gives you a flawless complexion without looking like you’re an extra from a Kabuki theatre.
The best thing about this is the range of shades. 120. Yep, you heard right. 120 shades. Ok, not all of them are human skin colours but, if you want to look like Gonzo from The Muppets, Kryolan have you covered.
Jokes aside, you are absolutely guaranteed to find a colour that matches your skin perfectly.
Price
For what you get, this is relatively inexpensive. I pay around $40 per tube.
Would I repurchase?
Absolutely. If you want a full coverage foundation that will last forever, forget the high end department store products and give this a try. It’s made by professionals for professionals and it really works.
