Product Review – BYS Coral Blush

Product Review – BYS Coral Blush

love blush but I find it super difficult to wear. Because I have such large pores, I find many blushes just seem to sink into them and I end up looking like some overripe strawberry. Yucko.

Director David, from Fashion Addict, recently sent me a stash of BYS products to trial. Amongst the goodies was this blush, so I threw caution to the wind and put it through its paces.

Read on to see what I think….

Packaging

This comes in a lovely little compact.  I can’t really say anything more about it than that.  It’s functional and cute.

Product

This is a nifty little blush.  It’s highly pigmented so you don’t need much of it.  It still sinks into my pores but, because it’s a matte, it’s more forgiving.  I’m not sure I’ll ever wear a shimmer blush again!

And it lasts.  Even if the rest of my makeup slides into oblivion, this is like the last man standing on the Titanic.

Price

Here’s the kicker.  This is an incredible $3.95.

Would I repurchase

Yes I would. The gentle matte finish is great for my problematic skin. And it’s cheap. There is seriously nothing to hate about this product!

I grabbed a BYS blush a while ago when they started stocking a small selection of their products in my local post office/pharmacy, it was only £2.50. I never really use it though 'cause the colour I picked is very shimmery and quite hard to blend. It's called Rose Velvet or something like that. It's nice though, I just have to be VERY light handed! This one looks much nicer!

This looks great on you! I wouldn't use it, personally, because the only time I use blush is if I'm in a play. I have quite a rosy complexion, so if I wore blush I would look quite ridiculous. :)

You lucky thing, Zara. I have a sallow complexion so blush always warms me up

Shimmer blushes are so on my hit list – I don't even like the NARS shimmers.

Haha, I know! The part that's not lucky is that when I get even a little hot, I turn BRIGHT red. :)

I have to agree with you, really – my exception to the rule is BeneFit Coralista, though. Also The Body Shop's new blush in Coral looks in the pan like it should be a shimmer but it translate mostly matte on the skin so I'm not sure whether to count that as a matte or shimmer… but if it's a shimmer it's my only other exception ;P

I actually think red is pretty cute on a woman. It's very natural.

Ok, Coralista is the exception. It's quite exquisite.

Wow, impressive, such a nice colour too :) I'll be careful not to snob the BYS blushes next time I'm in need!
